Dr. Sobiek is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a clinical instructor on staff at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento, California.  
Dr. Sobiek graduated from the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont in May, 1989. He completed his internship followed by Residency in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, in 1994. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Nevada State Medical Society, Washoe County Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.  
Dr. Sobiek’s special interests include: Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Surgery, Knee/Shoulder/ Hip Reconstruction, Fracture Care and General Orthopedic Care.
Dr. Huene was born in Pensacola, Florida and was raised on a ranch in Fresno, California. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Field Mount Herman in North Field, Massachusetts in 1979.
He achieved his medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1987. Dr. Huene then went on to Stanford University to perform his residency in Orthopedic Surgery from 1989 to 1994. He was the first accredited fellow for the Upper Extremity Fellowship of the Division of Hand Surgery at Stanford University in 1995.  
Dr. Huene has been in Reno since 1995. He was the team physician for the Reno Rage from 1996-1998. Dr. Huene has Board Certified Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
